Buxton Day of Dance
(organised by Chapel-en-le Frith Morris Men)
23rd July 2016

A few photos of the day with an explanation of what's going on

A caper at the end of the chorus in the ever-popular dance "The Vandals of Hammerwich"

Still with "Vandals", the team commence their 'swing backs' as they return into a set

A recent addition to the team's repertoire "Thanks for the Hat, Maureen" in the Bampton style
The first pair of 'corners' begin to cross (which is followed by 2nd corners)

Here, the half hey is ending as the centres rejoin the set in unison

In perfect lines, the corners complete crossing again for the second half of the chorus

Malcolm prepares to 'spring caper' out of the way for the next pair to dance, at the top of the set.
A Ducklington column dance

The jump and clash at the start of the Headington dance "Bean Setting" (or rather our 'Brain Testing' version)
Bill, perhaps a little over-enthusiastic, putting the rest of the team to shame

As usual, the team show what a bunch of smart ar*es they are during the chorus

The 'brain testing bit'...  ..."am I jumping, just jumped so what next or just waiting for a stick clash"
